Hello Ladies,
I see ALOT of weddings down at the club. I like to look at the bride's wedding dress and the dresses on the bridal party. Reflecting on what I have seen lately and looking at pictures of brides in the newspapers and magazines made me think ... I haven't seen a veil on these girls for awhile. How is that?
One bridal editor said the veil is disappearing and brides are going for beaded headbands and flowers in their hair. If you are having a beach wedding, a wreath of frangiapani would be beautiful. Your bouquet could be made of bunches of the same flowers, with a lily or orchids added.
Some pictures of brides in the magazines are showing tulle draped over the back of the head, it is a stunning look and very simple to make if you want to. Or a tulle and orchid cloche (close fitting hat with very little brim or no brim at all, popular in the 1920's and 1930's) would be elegant.
Do you think the veil is still a wedding fashion accessory? Are you going to have one?
I saw DJ Helen at Curves today, and she gave me another FABULOUS wedding tip:
If you want to have matching cars or you are having trouble finding a car that suits both your budget and style of wedding, consider hiring cars! I had forgotten this one, because we did this for our wedding. It was brilliant, Uncle Bert (Daryl's uncle), picked me up at the hotel and drove my family to the wedding. Then after the wedding he drove us to our hotel in Coolangatta, QLD., Australia.
Anyway, sometimes you can get a deal hiring several cars out at once. It is worth asking local car hire businesses, particularly in these economic times they may be glad for the income!
