One never knows how things will go….
This morning I saw my neighbor as she was leaving for her restaurant. She had a baby boy about six weeks ago and started going back into cook and make sure everything is running well. Nicole lived in Turkey for seven years and is a brilliant chef. Anyway, I noticed how fabulous she was looking and shouted out across the street ”Who’s that beautiful sexy lady!” She responded with a big grin and we had a chat. She looks great and I told her a couple more times.
I got into my car and went to work out at Curves. I love working out there and seeing my ladies. I have definitely made some friends, and some of them are coming with me on my internet journey. I will be introducing them to you as they join me.
I had a great work out and was walking back to my car when I heard a MAN shout – “Susie – its working!” I turned around to see Gerry, one of the dads from the sailing club (our daughters sail together). I gave him a big smile and felt encouraged.
A lady I met at one of the internet seminars I attended has started a non-profit organisation called The Encouragement Foundation. It was the result of a family member committing suicide, and I think it’s a much needed part of all our modern lives. Too often we can bogged down in that traffic, the J.O.B., friends and family problems. In the paper today an article was saying that drivers are abusing the policemen and ambulance drivers at accident scenes because they have been held up. What has happened to patience and kindness towards others?
So, here it is……………………. How many people can you encourage today. Your children and your partner will appreciate you and it feels really good.

Creating your Dream wedding
Beautiful Ladies,
Imagine having the wedding of your dreams !!
What would it look like? Where would it be?
Beach or bush, waterside or up in the air?
It is possible to have any theme and location for your wedding. The only thing you need to do is find out what that dream is for YOU !!
One of the ways you can dramatically enhance your day is to have a special wedding cake designed around your colours, desires, budget. I have seen some amazing cakes like the one below -
they are like eye candy...
GORGEOUS!I think this cake would be pretty expensive, but what an impact. If I had to put all my money into something like that I think I would.... it's so tempting. It is worth looking around the local area and online to see if a cake design catches your eye.
I saw DJ Helen again at Curves. She did a 40th birthday party this weekend. She is so versatile and can make any party rock. I think the most important thing a DJ needs to do is get people out on the floor.
I have articles about wedding cakes on my bridal wear site. Have a look and also, please tell me what else you would like to find out about.

Bridal Veils a Disappearing Act?
Hello Ladies,
I see ALOT of weddings down at the club. I like to look at the bride's wedding dress and the dresses on the bridal party. Reflecting on what I have seen lately and looking at pictures of brides in the newspapers and magazines made me think ... I haven't seen a veil on these girls for awhile. How is that?
One bridal editor said the veil is disappearing and brides are going for beaded headbands and flowers in their hair. If you are having a beach wedding, a wreath of frangiapani would be beautiful. Your bouquet could be made of bunches of the same flowers, with a lily or orchids added.
Some pictures of brides in the magazines are showing tulle draped over the back of the head, it is a stunning look and very simple to make if you want to. Or a tulle and orchid cloche (close fitting hat with very little brim or no brim at all, popular in the 1920's and 1930's) would be elegant.
Do you think the veil is still a wedding fashion accessory? Are you going to have one?
I saw DJ Helen at Curves today, and she gave me another FABULOUS wedding tip:
If you want to have matching cars or you are having trouble finding a car that suits both your budget and style of wedding, consider hiring cars! I had forgotten this one, because we did this for our wedding. It was brilliant, Uncle Bert (Daryl's uncle), picked me up at the hotel and drove my family to the wedding. Then after the wedding he drove us to our hotel in Coolangatta, QLD., Australia.
Anyway, sometimes you can get a deal hiring several cars out at once. It is worth asking local car hire businesses, particularly in these economic times they may be glad for the income!
Have a look at some of the styles of veils, wedding dresses and bridal wear www.bridalweartoday.com. See you later!

More Bridal Tips
Hello Ladies,
I saw DJ Helen today at Curves and I asked her if she had a wedding this weekend. She is booked out until she leaves for America. She will be going to Southern California - you lucky people!
The wedding DJ Helen played for this week was lovely and the bride looked beautiful in her gown. It has been a bit windy here lately, and Helen suggested for all Brides....
"If you are having your pictures taken outside, be sure to have some Bobby pins and hairspray withyou. Wedding pictures can be ruined if your hair blows across your face or your new husband's. "
I always loved the way it sounds when I say "Let me introduce you to my HUSBAND"!
Remember the wedding I went to last week? Well one thing I forgot to mention was the music. Being in such a beautiful setting, loud music would have been intrusive. The bride so perfectly chose to have a clarinet and harp duet. The effect was fantastic, it fit so well with the rain forest feel of the day.
???????? Hey Girls..........................
Have you already booked the reception venue, photographer, DJ and Celebrant/Church? If not these are things you want to do right away, as they are the hardest to find and nail down.
Have a wonderful, relaxed wedding and make sure you see the bridal wear www.bridalweartoday.com

A Bride in the Mist
This last weekend my husband and I went to our friend's wedding on Tamborine Mountain in Qld, Australia. It is a picturesque little spot on the mountain and a great place to visit. If you are thinking about taking a vacation down under have a look at some of the wedding venues available and great ideas for travelling to Australia, as well as other spots around the world.
Anyway... back to the wedding - I became friends with the couple while consulting about management systems. When we were talking to other guests at the wedding it seemed everyone had the same thing to say about the couple, "I met them once at ... and that was it, we became friends". Both of them have such warm, straight forward personalities that people are naturally drawn to them.
They had their wedding at a place called "Songbirds of the Forest". It was a beautiful setting with fabulous food, staff that took excellent care of the bridal party and plenty of room to dance.
The wedding was outdoors and was set in the rain forest garden of Songbirds. Rose petals had been scattered as a path for the bride to follow and the guests were encouraged to gather closely to the bridal party for the ceremony. The groom was relaxed (or at least he looked relaxed) and was greeting and talking to their friends as we moved over for the ceremony. The clouds were beginning to gather (as they do in Queensland) and the mist rolled in over the top of the mountain to give the whole area a romantic feel.
I knew that the bride would look spectacular in whatever she chose to wear. Her dress was made of silk brocade and the design was a sleeveless top with a long skirt gathered in a few places. It was elegant and chic. Her bridesmaids wore dresses that had a similar cut and were shorter in a rich maroon red. They all looked so beautiful, I look forward to seeing the pictures.
Brides have more choice about what to wear than ever before and each has a dream of their romantic day and how it will look. Whether you are going to be married on a beach or a family church, a style of dress is out there to suit you and your budget. These days there are so many places to have an unusal wedding and the choice of gown and look of the wedding can be altered to suit the venue.
Here's one of DJ Helen's Wedding Tips:
1) I have seen many wedding dresses with trains over the years having problems hooking the train up at the reception. The hook or clip seems to give way on the dress after a few hours. My suggestion is to hang your dress with the train hooked up for a while (or days) and see if it gives way. If so, it might be safer to put another couple of stitches on the hook just to secure it a little better. (some trains can get a little heavy after a few hours).

Happy days are here .................. enjoy the excitement of planning your wedding day.

Hello,
Today I was working out at Curves and talking to one of my friends there. One thing I like about Curves, I have gotten to know some of my fellow Curvettes and it's so much more motivating to be able to talk as you go around!
This particular lady is a DJ for weddings. She's not just any DJ, but an award winning DJ. Her name is Helen Hilgers and she won the ABIA (Australian Bridal Industry Awards) for Excellence 2005 & 2008 .
I've invited Helen to become a Guest Blogger on my site. She was telling me so many interesting secrets to having a relaxing wedding day, and how staff and the wedding party should make sure your day is delightful and easy. A wedding needs to be remembered as a happy day.
It turned out that the sailing with Ladies on Thursday was on TV the other day and now its on YouTube. It shows what I am able to do instead of working in an office. There really IS an adavantage to setting up an office from home http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLa75hwHG3o
I am adding new articles to my site all the time. If you need to find out what is happening in Bridal wear Today www.bridalweartoday.com will be a great place to start looking for ideas. If you need more information about planning your wedding day and honeymoon I would be happy to help. Just let me know via a comment to the blog and I will do my best to find the expert in that area.
